There is a significant gender gap in Physics globally. Many factors contribute to a low number of female physicists, including the lack of access to education, poverty, social and cultural factors, and the lack of female role models and mentors. This scarcity of female physicists means we are letting go of huge potential for scientific progress. To attain UN Sustainable Development Goals, Pakistan needs to empower its female population.
With this motivation, we are arranging the 2nd Physics camp For Girls for girls studying in classes 11 and 12 to motivate girls to pursue STEM fields for their bachelor's degree. To know about the 1st Physics Camp For Girls, please check out this link .
This camp will include various talks from distinguished researchers and scholars from the different fields of Physics. Multiple physics demonstrations will explain the physics phenomenon in layman's terms. The life of Marie Curie and the painting of Cat's Eye Nebula will also be shown in this event. There will be quizzes as well as a career-counseling session in the camp.
